Suspect charged with shooting at teens in east Cobb

Nicholas Jarod Hiner of Marietta is accused of aggressive driving and shooting at three male teens on July 6 at 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Oak Lane in east Cobb, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Hiner operated a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and followed the three teens – who were driving a Honda Odyssey, a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a Volvo XC60. While behind the teens, Hiner wove back and forth and then discharged a firearm multiple times at the GMC Sierra causing bullet holes in the rear and front windshield and driver side rear of the vehicle and striking the rim of the passenger rear tire.
