Gunfire disrupted the relative calm of Campbellton Rd. SW in Atlanta yesterday evening, as reported by the Atlanta Police Department. Officers from Zone 4 were called to the scene near 1975 Campbellton Rd. SW at approximately 5:32 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle damaged by bullets, as per the Atlanta Police Department news release.
Later, there was a development when officers got word around 6:20 p.m. that a 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound had made it to Grady Hospital via a private vehicle, the victim was alert and conscious, and breathing which provides a glimmer of hope amid the violent circumstances.
