Goodbye Spring: We Bid “Annyeonghi Gaseyo” to Marietta’s Michelin Star

Marietta’s Michelelin-starred restaurant defines the term “hidden gem.” Spring, the long-time downtown eatery, occupies a small location just off the Square, directly on the CSX railroad track and the Mountain to River Trail.

We said “Annyeonghi Gaseyo” — Korean for “goodbye” — this week to the dream spot of Chef Brian So and Sommelier Daniel Crawford . But our goodbye is temporary. Spring is scheduled to close in mid-September as the tiny eatery gets a well-deserved remodel and upgrade. Reports indicate the original location will reopen “likely in early 2026,” featuring a new, expanded cocktail bar, an updated interior and some behind-the-scenes improvements for the kitchen staff.
