Marietta Drug Dealer Charged with Felony Manslaughter in Fentanyl Overdose Death

MARIETTA, Ga.—In what is believed to be the first case of its kind in Cobb County history, a man has been charged with felony manslaughter in the fentanyl overdose death of another man.

On September 1, 2024, Marietta Police Department (MPD) officers were dispatched to a possible overdose at 1250 Powder Springs Street, where they found Tyler Hass, 27, of Jasper, deceased. An extensive, multi-agency investigation was launched, involving the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office, the DEA, the GBI, and the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation led to the identification of Grant Mull, 27, of Marietta, as the drug dealer who allegedly supplied the fatal dose of fentanyl. A warrant was secured charging Mull with Felony Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter for Fentanyl Overdose Death…
