Pig races, funnel cake burgers and robots: The North Georgia State Fair is back

MARIETTA — Pig races, a man on fire, a family-friendly robot and funnel cake cheeseburgers can only mean one thing — the North Georgia State Fair, presented by Superior Plumbing, is back in town beginning 4 p.m. Thursday.

The fair returns to Jim Miller Park for its 93rd annual 11-day celebration. More than 50 food and beverage options, 16 live entertainment acts and special deals will be available daily.

New acts were added to this year’s entertainment lineup, including magician Lady Houdini, the Zebrini Family Circus, a strolling piano, a family-friendly entertainment robot named Oscar, motorcycle trick shows at the American Motor Drome and Lew-E’s comedy circus…
