East Cobb man sentenced to life for neglect that led to wife’s death

An east Cobb man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of neglecting his sick wife, ultimately causing her death, according to Cobb District Attorney Sonya Allen.

It took a jury less than an hour to convict 67-year-old Gary Williams on charges of felony murder and neglect, Allen said. He was sentenced to life in prison by Cobb Superior Court Judge Kellie Hill.

According to his arrest warrant, Williams neglected the victim Addreinne Gordon, who was 66 at the time of her death, while she was bedridden and paralyzed on the left side of her body. In a statement released Wednesday, Allen identified the victim in this case as Williams’ wife…
