Marietta police arrest woman who allegedly left dog in hot car for hours

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Sgt. Chuck McPhilamy with the Marietta Police Department says people leaving pets in hot cars happens far too often.

“Even with your windows cracked, the temperature inside the vehicle can skyrocket and the dog simply doesn’t have the ability to protect itself from that,” Sgt. McPhilamy said.
