Marietta man accused of stabbing a woman 12 times and in both eyes

Rashon Delano Barney, 27, of Marietta, is accused of stabbing a woman at least 12 times in the back with a knife and also stabbing the victim in both eyes on Sept. 10 at 11 a.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

After the stabbing, Barney threw the knife into a densely wooded area where police were unable to locate the weapon, according to the warrant.

Barney is charged with aggravated assault – intent to murder; aggravated battery deprive; possession of firearm/knife during the commission of a crime; and tampering – tamper with evidence. He was arrested Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
