Georgia Cold Case: 20 Years Later, Reward Renewed in Church Leader’s Murder

Paulding County, GA – The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are once again asking for the public’s help in solving the 2005 murder of Regan Wheeler, a well-known community member who was shot and killed in the driveway of his Dallas home 20 years ago today.

According to investigators, Wheeler was gunned down outside his residence on Etowah Court after possibly interrupting a burglary. The murder occurred on October 13, 2005, and despite years of investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and local detectives, no arrests have been made.

Wheeler, remembered as a prison chaplain, father, husband, and church leader, left behind a wife and two children. Officials believe renewed community awareness could finally bring answers to the long-unsolved case…
