Erasto Escobar, 39, of Marietta, is accused of firing at least two rounds, either in the air or ground, then pointing the handgun at the victim after he requested a beer and was told by the victim that he didn’t have any on Nov. 1 at 12:50 p.m. at 16 Beech Road SW in Marietta, in The Brix on Beech apartment complex, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Escobar left on foot. Two shell casings were found in the grass near where the victim was. Escobar refused to place his weapon on the ground and lie down. He then pointed his weapon in the air and attempted to fire it before fleeing on foot from officers, according to the warrant.
Escobar is charged with aggravated assault weapon; possession of firearm during the commission of a crime; aggravated assault – intent to rob; possession firearm felon Georgia; reckless conduct; and obstruction felony. He was arrested on Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
