A new Cobb County ordinance will now allow animal services officers, in addition to local law enforcement, to write citations for unregulated pet sales and transfers, in accordance with recently passed state law.
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the code amendment which prohibits the sale, barter or display of dogs, cats and rabbits in public places such as parking lots, sidewalks, roadsides and all flea markets.
