Marietta authorities say a train hit a car Saturday evening on Waverly Way downtown, just south of the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.
According to a post on Marietta Police’s Facebook account, the vehicle was driving across the tracks when the back end was struck by a train.
No injuries were reported, “but protocol requires the train remain in place until their own inspector can come review the situation and verify the train is safe to continue its scheduled route,” the post states…
