ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Atlanta-based company announced Monday it will be laying off hundreds of employees to “strengthen (its) competitiveness, deliver greater value for consumers and drive long-term value creation.”
Newell Brands, which oversees several brands including Yankee Candle, Rubbermaid, Oster, among others, will reduce its global workforce by cutting over 900 jobs.
The company said those jobs make up around 10% of professional and clerical employees. There will “limited impact on manufacturing or supply chain operations,” the company said…
