Kenner police, assisted by ICE, arrest fugitive wanted in Georgia robbery and Jefferson Parish domestic abuse case

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Kenner police officers, assisted by federal immigration agents, conducted an investigatory stop around 10:49 p.m. Thursday on a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Malinda Court.

The driver, 32-year-old Melkin Alvarado, was identified by federal agents as a high-priority target who had previously evaded arrest.

Alvarado was wanted on a robbery warrant out of Douglas County, Georgia, and a Jefferson Parish warrant for domestic abuse…..
