ATLANTA, GEORGIA — A Georgia couple has been sentenced to decades in prison after ambushing a family during a robbery, fatally shooting both parents while their children sat in the backseat of the vehicle, according to newly released court details. Prosecutors characterized the attack as “cold, deliberate, and senseless,” pointing to the extreme trauma inflicted on the surviving children.
How the Deadly Robbery Unfolded
Investigators said the victims were driving with their children after leaving a check-cashing location when the suspects began following them.
