1 killed after car rear-ends MARTA bus in Atlanta, officials say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — One person is dead following an accident that involved a MARTA bus overnight in Atlanta’s Belvedere Park area, according to the transportation agency.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday, when a car rear-ended a MARTA bus that was stopped at a traffic light near Memorial Drive and Carter Road. MARTA said the bus driver and two occupants “claimed injury.”

The driver of the other vehicle died as a result of the crash, the transportation agency also confirmed. They have not been identified…
