GEORGIA — Ten people have been arrested following a federal investigation that dismantled a fentanyl distribution network supplying multiple north Georgia counties, according to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the investigation was conducted in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation offices in Atlanta and Cartersville, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force. As part of the operation, law enforcement searched several locations across metro Atlanta.
Officials reported seizing a large quantity of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash. The items recovered included approximately 18 pounds of fentanyl, smaller amounts of heroin and cocaine, more than 100,000 pills, 71 firearms, a live hand grenade, and about $250,000 in cash.
