Marietta bank robbery leads to Roswell man’s arrest

Tory Evan Hughes, 56, of Roswell, is accused of entering the Wells Fargo Bank at 2055 S. Cobb Drive, Marietta, on Dec. 23 at 9 a.m., approaching a bank teller and presenting a handwritten note demanding money, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

The bank teller complied with Hughes’ demands and gave him $340. Hughes then fled the scene in a taxi, according to the warrant.

Hughes is charged with robbery intimidation. He was arrested on Dec. 23 at 2:45 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
