Michael Lee Coley, 18, of Meansville, is accused of racing another vehicle while operating a 2022 Dodge Charger on Dec. 23 at 2:44 a.m. at the intersection of I-75 and Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
The race was observed by police and while both vehicles were side by side, they were recorded driving at 108 and 107 miles per hour respectively in a 65 mile per hour zone, according to the warrant.
Coley fled from a traffic stop at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, drove in close proximity to other motorists at high speeds, turned off his headlights, changed several lanes and ran a red light at the intersection of Chastain Meadows and Chastain Road.
