We were saddened when Marietta Square bid a bittersweet farewell to the traditional sit-down format of Piastra Italian Restaurant at the end of December. The fine dining outlet was a local favorite for high-quality Italian foods and family celebrations.
Now, the mother-son duo of Chef Greg Lipman and Betty Bahi are in final preparations to open Asher & Rose Modern Grocers. It’s a new hybrid concept, seeking to bridge the gap between a high-end specialty market and a casual neighborhood café.
