Man sentenced to 15 years for PPP fraud, tax fraud involving celebrity names, including Keanu Reeves

MARIETTA, Ga. — A Marietta man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for PPP loan fraud and filing fraudulent tax returns, according to the Northern District of Georgia U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In February 2021, 50-year-old Carl Delano Torjagbo submitted individual tax returns to the IRS using different social security numbers and dates of birth, according to U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg.

Information presented at sentencing shows that Torjagbo falsely claimed he paid over $3 million in tax withholdings and reported bogus losses for his gold-mining business in Ghana, Kremkov Industries…
