MARIETTA — Dozens of Marietta High School students marched to the Marietta Square in protest of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Friday morning, despite warnings of disciplinary action from the school district.
Just before 11 a.m., students began gathering at the Kroger on Whitlock Avenue, holding signs that read, “Does this count as U.S. history class?”; “No one is illegal on stolen land”; and “Abolish ICE.”
Others were more personal: “For my parents, who came with nothing and gave me everything” and “My parents fought for me, now I fight for them.”…
