ATLANTA — New warrants obtained by 11Alive on Wednesday show the long-running criminal history of a person of interest in custody connected to the shooting death of a United States Postal Service worker last week.
Now, we’re learning more about that person of interest in custody, 25-year-old Nahjel Williams. While the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has not officially revealed the person of interest’s name, investigators said he was taken into custody for an unrelated homicide and 11Alive has connected the dots based on his previous criminal history.
In a news conference on Tuesday night, Inspector Taylor White of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said the person of interest in their case was wanted for a previous murder in Atlanta.
