COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County deputy is being praised for his quick thinking after he took action to save an inmate from a potential suicide attempt at the detention center.
According to the sheriff’s office, Deputy Jose Mejia observed an inmate in a life-threatening situation while conducting routine security rounds along with Investigator Pedro Munoz in the mental health housing unit on Feb. 6.
