Maintenance worker accused of stealing appliances, TV from Acworth apartment

Renfro Jousha Core, 36, of Kennesaw, is accused of unlawfully entering an apartment at 5200 Cardinal Way in Acworth, in the Laurel Glen Apartments complex, on Feb. 6 at 8:50 a.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Acworth Police Department.

Core, while employed as a maintenance employee, was not acting within the scope of his employment. The lawful tenant of the apartment also had not submitted a maintenance request authorizing entry and was not present at the time. Once inside the apartment, Core removed and carried away one washer, one dryer and one 48-inch Samsung television, according to the warrant.

Core is charged with burglary – first degree. He was arrested on Feb. 17 at 10:45 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
