ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man convicted last year of killing a Cobb County couple is back in court on Tuesday morning — this time in Fulton County.
Matthew Lanz is accused of stabbing a Sandy Springs police officer a day after he murdered the couple. The court will decide whether he is competent to stand trial, a process he underwent and passed in the first case.
