Police: Group damages women’s bathroom at east Cobb park

Rian Scott Cushenan, 17, Gavin Petersen Smith, 18, and William Chandler Childs, 18, all of Marietta, are accused of being part of a group of six who damaged the women’s bathroom at Harrison Park in east Cobb on March 1 at 1:30 a.m., according to arrest warrants from the Cobb County Police Department.

The group pulled the soap dispenser off the wall and discharged a fire extinguisher over the bathroom floor and walls. Cushenan admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages in the park after hours. Smith admitted to entering the park to perform doughnuts in the parking lot in a silver 2007 Honda Ridgeline while a woman stood by recording him, according to the warrants.

Cushenan and Childs are both charged with criminal interference with government property; and criminal trespass unlawful purpose. Smith is charged with criminal interference with government property; criminal trespass unlawful purpose; and reckless driving. Cushenan was arrested on March 6 at 10:21 a.m. Smith was arrested on March 6 at 11:30 a.m. Childs was arrested on March 11 at 2:05 p.m. They were all booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
