Ga. man pleads guilty to defrauding elderly client out of nearly $10 million

ATLANTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A former investment advisor pleaded guilty to defrauding an elderly client out of nearly $10 million, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia said.

Eijroghene Okuma, 43, began defrauding the client after he was appointed executor of the estate of the victim’s sister in 2022.

He embezzled money after telling the victim the estate needed funds. Instead, he funneled the money into multiple bank accounts, including a brokerage account the victim did not know about…
