Metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies tell parents to ‘watch your children’ as they work to stop ‘teen takeovers’

ATLANTA — Atlanta Police and other metro area public safety officials came together once again, issuing a clear warning against disruptive gatherings that have been deemed as “teen takeovers.”

APD said they are aware of planned takeovers for this weekend, but they are prepared to react if the chaotic behavior unfolds.

It’s been an issue in recent months for cities in Atlanta and beyond. Police departments and municipalities have held news conferences addressing the issue, as they work to put an end to these unauthorized gatherings.
