Man dead after Georgia house fire prompts bomb threat response, evacuations

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Authorities ordered evacuations in part of a northeast Georgia neighborhood Saturday after a house fire prompted a response from a bomb squad, officials said.

The sheriff’s office said several areas of the Traditions of Braselton neighborhood were evacuated as crews responded to the blaze. There was no active threat to the public, but officials asked residents to avoid the area while emergency crews worked.

Road closures included Roller Mill Drive, Traditions Way, Muscadine Way and Rice Creek Court, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities said updates would be shared on social media as they became available…
