Arrest warrant: Man posed as FBI agent, pulled over driver in Marietta

Timothy Earl Hayes, 39, of Woodstock, is accused of impersonating an FBI agent on March 10 at 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Lower Roswell Road and Timberloch Drive in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Hayes was operating a black 2022 Chevrolet Suburban with a Georgia Limousine tag that was equipped with blue and white flashing lights. Hayes conducted a traffic stop on the victim while wearing a black suit and told her that he was an FBI agent. The FBI confirmed that Hayes is not employed with the agency, according to the warrant.

Hayes is charged with impersonating an officer; and false imprisonment detainment. He was arrested on March 20 at 7:55 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
