Walmart delivery drones could come to east Cobb after after a site plan request for a delivery drone station goes before the Cobb County Board of Commissioners later this month.
The site plan amendment request, filed with Cobb Planning and Zoning, asks that a kiosk and fencing supporting drone operations at the store be added to Walmart’s parking lot at 3100 Johnson Ferry Road.
The request, filed by Associate Project Manager Rachel Sutherland with Atwell, an engineering and consulting firm working with Walmart, also states “no land disturbance is proposed and all proposed items will be anchor bolted to the pavement.”…
