Two people died this morning after a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 northbound in Cobb County.
What’s Happening: The crash happened around 8:34 a.m. today near Hickory Grove Road, close to the Cherokee County line. Three commercial vehicles were involved.
What We Know: 28-year-old Zory Beavers of Conyers was driving a red 2023 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck pulling a trailer north in the right lane, with 42-year-old Royan Osborne of Norcross riding as a passenger. Investigators say Beavers drifted out of his lane and struck a white 2019 Freightliner Cascadia driven by 62-year-old Verlon Henley of Fairburn, who was in the lane directly to the left. Beavers’ truck then spun clockwise, rolled onto its left side, and hit a concrete sound wall on the right shoulder. A white 2018 Ram 3500 pickup with a flatbed trailer, driven by 48-year-old Arkino Walker of White, struck the rear of Beavers’ trailer and came to rest sideways across the northbound lanes…
