A 15-year-old boy was shot late Sunday morning in Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland neighborhood during what police say was an escalating domestic dispute. Officers responded around 11:15 a.m. to the 900 block of Highland View NE, where they found the teen with a gunshot wound. He was alert, conscious and breathing at the scene before being taken by ambulance to a hospital, according to Atlanta police.
As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, investigators have not yet detailed the severity of the victim’s injuries or released a description of any suspect, saying the case is still in its early stages. The outlet cited the Atlanta Police Department as the source of its initial information.
