Sandy Springs removes all police reports from public portal

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Sandy Springs has taken steps to remove information about public safety from its online resident dashboard.

For years the city has used Police to Citizen, a web tool from software firm CentralSquare, to make accident and police incidents available to the public. Other agencies across Metro Atlanta use the same platform, including Roswell and Johns Creek.

The portal is designed to allow users to search and access reports online, according to the Sandy Springs Police website. The page flags the tool as its, “Most Popular Service,” for citizens…
