ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A person was rescued from the woods alongside I-285 on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department said crews responded to the area of James Jackson Parkway NW, located near the interstate, to assist in the rescue of a person in a wooded area near a creek.
Fire crews worked with Grady EMS to search the area “after initial access challenges due to the terrain and lack of trails,” the spokesperson said.
Firefighters eventually located the patient and created a pathway through the woods to move them to the road…
