A Frisco teenager’s legacy is now leading the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)’s newest effort to stop impaired driving across the state.
When Sue Beatty dropped off her 19-year-old daughter, Carly, for her sophomore year at Texas A&M University, she didn’t know it would be the last time she would see her. Weeks later, Carly was struck and killed by an impaired driver while walking home.
An investigation found the driver had a combination of alcohol, THC, cocaine and Xanax in their system. Carly was an animal science major at Texas A&M pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is buried in Prosper…
