Sorry, kids. Summer is slowly but surely drawing to a close, and parents are planning ahead for the 2026–2027 school year. This August, more than 5,000 students are expected to return to Celina Independent School District campuses, including five elementary schools. In case you don’t already have these dates on your calendar, jot these down.
First Day of School for Celina ISD
The week following tax-free weekend (August 7–9):
- The back-to-school start date for students is Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
Other Important Dates for 2026–2027 School Year
- Thanksgiving break: November 23–27, 2026
- Winter break: December 21, 2026–January 1, 2027
- Spring break: March 15–March 19, 2027
- Last day of school: Friday, May 21, 2027
