Frisco could be one step closer to getting its first Trader Joe’s as city council revisits a nearly 10-acre mixed-use development at Main Street and Majestic Gardens Drive.
The proposal is scheduled for a public hearing during the Oct. 6 City Council meeting. The project would combine a Trader Joe’s grocery store with a 158-unit senior living community for active, independent older adults.
Under the proposal, the Trader Joe’s and senior living community would be constructed during a single phase. The senior living facility also could not receive an occupancy certificate or open until the grocery store is open. Currently, there is no construction timeline or contractor announced for either part of the project.
The Proposal Has Already Been Revised
The development has been through several rounds of review. An earlier version presented to Frisco’s Planning and Zoning Commission in April raised zoning and site-planning concerns, leading the development team to make changes before returning to the commission…
