Over the past two seasons, shootouts have been a blessing and a curse for the Allen boys soccer team. The Eagles won shootouts to advance on two occasions during the 2023 playoffs, including in the regional finals against Lake Highlands to punch their ticket to the state semifinals for the second time in three years.
