Allen woman arrested following SWAT standoff, facing multiple felony charges

Court documents are providing new information about the charges against an Allen mother who was arrested after a SWAT standoff earlier this week.

Court documents show 36-year-old Lul Top is accused of abusing her husband and her six kids. The children told investigators she threatened to cut off one child’s tongue and tried to put another kid inside the oven. She is also accused of causing bodily injuries to her husband.

Top was arrested Monday after the SWAT standoff at her home in the 1500 block of Tanglewood Drive. Police say when they went to serve arrest warrants, Top barricaded herself in the attic.

After a two hour standoff, police used tear gas and Top surrendered.

Neighbor William Whitney says Monday’s raid was not the first time police had visited the home.

Top is in the Collin County Jail on a $600,000 bond.
