The Lewisville Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has agreed to include a Bond Election on the May 4 ballot. This decision was made at a board meeting on February 12. Registered voters within the Lewisville ISD boundaries will be asked to vote on three propositions. These propositions aim to raise extra funds for maintenance, repairs, and renovations at athletics and recreation facilities across the district. This includes all five high school stadiums and two Aquatic Centers.
The three bond propositions, if approved, will raise a total of $101.8 million. Importantly, this will not lead to an increase in the LISD tax rate. Dr. Lori Rapp, Superintendent of School, thanked the board for their decision. She also highlighted the district’s dedication to keeping engagement high within school communities.
Early Voting will take place from April 22 to April 30, with Election Day on Saturday, May 4. The last day to register to vote is Thursday, April 4. Jenny Proznik, LISD Board President, thanked voters who supported the fall election projects. She also expressed her desire to present more district needs in the spring election.
