PLANO, Texas – A mother urgently approached Plano Police Officer Skinner and Sergeant Baxter on June 29, 2024, with her unconscious infant, seeking immediate help.The infant appeared to be choking or having a seizure and was not breathing, according to the Plano Police Department. Officer Skinner quickly checked the infant, cleared the airway, and assisted with breathing until the fire department arrived. The infant was then taken to the hospital for further assessment.Officer Skinner’s and Sergeant Baxter’s quick and calm reaction to this traumatic incident potentially saved the baby’s life, stated the department.
