TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – A Smith County judge has sentenced a Mesquite man to 15 years in prison for his role in a 2022 string of diesel thefts. Ramon Perez-Torres, 31, of Mesquite, appeared in Judge Taylor B. Heaton’s courtroom Friday, on charges of organized criminal activity related to a widespread string of diesel thefts that occurred in 2022.
