Nine Farmersville ISD students are charged with several offenses relating to a hazing incident. The incident reportedly happened last month at Farmersville High School.
Farmersville ISD police took one student into custody at the time and said their investigation had resulted in charges against eight more students.
The school district released a statement saying that the evidence gathered by the police is being submitted to the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. Any disciplinary action taken by the school district will be separate from the criminal investigation.
The district’s statement on its website says that “we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of all our students as we move forward in addressing this matter.”
