Is Dak Prescott’s Statement ‘Bold’ or Not ‘Best’?

FRISCO — It’s bold. But is it best?

The Dallas Cowboys are turning the page to another opportunity to get on track, with two straight losses having at least temporarily derailed “America’s Team’s” playoff hopes.

Now staring at a 3-4 record, saddled with key injuries to stars like Micah Parsons and ranking embarrassingly low in many NFL categories, Dallas suddenly seems almost rudderless.

Enter Dak Prescott, who is doing his best in his public comments – and likely his private ones as well – to steer this thing back into a winning direction.

Dak went “bold” this week, stating that Sunday’s game at the Atlanta Falcons is a “must-win” outing.”

“Yeah,” he said. “To me every game is (must-win), but obviously 3-4, as I’ve said, lot of season left. But the first (step) to be able to say that confidently is getting back even.”

That means a win at Atlanta (the Falcons are 5-3 and favored) and then a 4-4 record that could mentally signify a sort of fresh start.

Dak also noted that after this game comes a stretch of home dates … and when looking at the NFC East outlook? Seeing the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles soar to 5-2 and 6-2 respectively can mean “opportunity” as they are coming up on the slate.
