Collin County’s Population Increased Over 13% Since 2020

According to data from the Texas Demographic Center, Texas’ population is estimated to have exceeded 30.7 million people this year. In Collin County alone, the population has risen by more than 13%. Census data shows that in 2020, Collin County recorded a population of 1,064,465. However, by 2023, the population had risen to approximately 1,193,092. Now in 2024, the county has an estimated population of 1,209,295 – 40,900 more than previously estimated.  Population data reveals growth across several cities in North Texas:  Plano experienced a moderate increase of 2.4%.
