Texas emergency management mobilizes resources ahead of winter storm

AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has begun mobilizing state emergency response resources in anticipation of a winter storm expected to impact the state starting tomorrow and lasting through midweek. Texans are urged to prepare and stay informed, according to TDEM.The National Weather Service forecasts that the storm will bring snow and icy conditions to parts of South, Central, and Southeast Texas, with freezing rain posing challenges, particularly near the coast.
