Sulphur Springs Woman Arrested for Theft and Warrants
HOPKINS COUNTY, TX — January 21, 2025: A 39-year-old Sulphur Springs woman, Syrina Kae Stradley, was arrested at the Walmart in Sulphur Springs on charges of theft over $100 and multiple active warrants. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025, when officers responded to a report from Walmart’s loss prevention team.
According to the arrest affidavit, the suspect allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $126.89 worth of items. Security footage reportedly showed Stradley skipping the self-checkout process for several items while scanning others. When confronted by loss prevention personnel, Stradley admitted to taking the items and cooperated with law enforcement.
In addition to the theft charge, Stradley had four active warrants, including one for failure to appear and two for speeding violations. The total bond amount for her charges was set at over $1,200.
