Happy Monday Crossroads! The lovely spring weather continues, but a few breezy days will be scattered in this week. Read on for more details.
What We’re Tracking: A couple upper level low pressure systems coming off the mountains this week will bring a few breezy/windy days to the Crossroads. Low #1 will eject off the mountains tonight, sending a line of strong-severe thunderstorms across portions of North Texas and Louisiana/Arkansas. Storms will remain north of us as they fire up along a weak cool front that will march through the state. This front is expected to pass the Crossroads around 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, but rain chances will be low at 30% mainly for our northern counties that may see an isolated shower or two along the front’s edge. After frontal passage, winds will be very breezy shifting out of the west gusting up to 40 mph at times. Before this front gets here, winds today out of the Gulf will gust up to 30 mph at times continuing into the overnight. I’d highly recommend bringing indoors any lightweight or hanging plants. Skies will be mostly cloudy to overcast today before this front arrives, but after it passes, the Texas Sun will come out and stay out. Plentiful sunshine for the rest of the week alongside occasional breezy Gulf winds will allow us to see more beautiful spring weather with highs in the 70s and low 80s. Alert Days: <NONE> …
